Returned from Piper's Retreat 2 27/8/08. had a brilliant stay here - Kazimierz is a very interesting and lovely part of Krakow. Fantastic little bars and restaurants and while we were there the Plac Nowy was host to a live roof top music event which was highly enjoyable. Great to be where there were loads of young people and markets complete with bric a brac stalls. Loved the quirky candle lit bars on every street off the square. Apartment was well furnished, spacious and had great balconies, one overlooking the square. Only needs some outdoor furniture to make it perfect! All in all a great place to stay, convenient for all Krakow has to offer. Would recommend to friends and stay there again if returning in future. Many thanks to Beata for recommending the apartment and arranging airport transfers - we had such a good time we didn't want to come home!

Location wonderful and facilities very good. Lovely mix of elegance and practicality. Cleanliness good, not perfect, but a place we will definitely be coming back to.

The apartment was so spacious as mentioned and the area was very attractive full of various nice places to drink and dine. What pleased us was the Sunday market just in front of the building. Just like NJP from Finland mentioned, we also would have liked to have a "drying rack" for the washed clothes, and a shower curtain. Ola helped a lot, and Daniel was friendly.

Geat appartment, what was shown on the web site was exactly as we found it and a great location in this old Jewish quarter. I have already recomended it to freinds.

Wonderfull appartment. Very confortable, in a place where you can find all you could need (pub, restaurants, lot of people ...) very close to old town city centre.

Piper's retreat was in a fab location - plenty of restaurants and bars on the door step. however the noise did not carry and the apartment was very quiet at night. in the jewish quarter and also handy for the main square. apartment very clean, two bedrooms with double beds and also 2 extra sofa beds, very modern. would recommend these fantastic apartments.

Superb apartment in a superb location - The Jewish Quarter (Kazimierz) is definitely the best place to stay in Krakow - cheaper and less touristy than the old town but with loads of great bars and good restaurants

1) Great location, close to everything, safe area. 2) Clean, big and well equiped small drawback 1) Can get a little noisy 2) building is a little old Overall, a very good choise.

We had 2 apartments next to each other on the same floor and both were spacious and clean. The location is good for a wide range of bars and restaurants but we did not find the apartments noisy. It is abut 20-25 minutes walk to the main square or a short tram ride.
2008-05-14Rachel (Mayo, Ireland) Ocena:
Just the type of apartment that we were looking for. Clean, bright, central, all of the amenities that we could need. There was a great buzz of socialising right outside the door every evening and the market kicked off a 7.30 am which created the cultural atmosphere we were hoping for.

we visited kracow end of April and the weather was lovely we stayed 5 nights at Pipers Retreat in the jewish 1/4 it was pretty central for lots of bars and restaurants nearby and the trams stop was just around the corner. The accomodation was 2 bedroomed and the rooms were massive complete with modern IKEA kitchen all very new and clean Dont be put off by the entrance/hallway they all seem a bit grotty. Busy market square just out front but noise didnt bother us much and we are 50+ would recommend - we visited both camps and salt mines it was very educational and something we will never forget and lets face it it should never be forgotton. We made our own way there from the bus station really cheap via a mini bus dont go for the excursions as they are a rip off - its free to get into the museums. Just need really comfortable shoes as you walk for miles!!!!!!!!!!!
2008-05-05Gordon Henderson (Belfast) Ocena:
The rooms were really massive & had every thing that you could want, there was no shortage of storage space for clothes & food,i will agree with some of the other reviews about the noise from outside, in the square but cosidering that you have six or seven bars/cafes on your doorstep, you should expect some noise,( i used earplugs at night, slept like a baby). The lights in the corridor/stairway are now working so no problem there , my only gripe and its a very small one is that the bedding had a slight musty odour from it, but as i said apart from that i would have no problems in recomending this ace appartment to everyone, plus Daniel was most welcoming & very helpfull, a very nice fella.
